Hi Matthew,

Too many coincidences for me to leave this alone. I love your Beer & Coffee CD. I listened to clips on CDBaby. I've known about you for a few years now but haven't bothered to write.

I am a musician as well, and I have a son named Matthew, whom I'll bet is about your age... He spins vinyl (or does the computer equivalent). I had another son named Brendan who composed music using Impulse Tracker, a PC based sampler. He was killed in 2002 at the age of 21 by a drunk driver who hit the car he was travelling in.

I play electric and acoustic violin and guitar and if you ever feel the urge to add another 'Ebel' on any of your tracks, let me know. You can check out a bit of my variety at my website. I used to work with an acoustic guitarist/composer who lives just north of Boston. I'm in Asheville, North Carolina now but am originally from Wisconsin.

Now, out of sheer curiosity...is there any outside chance we're related? Ebel is an unusual name...

Have a safe trip! Say hello to the northeast for me... and make sure that tour lands you back here in Nashville sometime before the end of the year. You will be missed greatly! I am glad to have gotten to know you and that you are no longer that guy my brother plays on his podcast, but a very good friend!
