I’m sitting here reading my morning blogs and I came across this little gem from my friend Chris Penn:

Matthew Ebel sounds like the love child of Billy Joel and Ben Folds with a dash of William Shatner from time to time, and an ounce or two of John Mayer.

    Y’know, when listening to your new album I thought “Ben Folds” and “Barenaked Ladies”. I was pleasantly surprised to see you list both of them as your influences on Facebook. Made me feel as if I was on the ball with my music. :-)
