A Note About The Album Release
Okay, so I now have 1 CD in hand (as you can see) and another 200 waiting for me in Boston. Still, the album has not officially been released yet. Let me explain…
Since I was pushing hard for an album release party at PodCamp Boston 2007, I had precious little time to finish, master, and duplicate the new album. I didn’t even get the mastering done until last Saturday, giving me only a week to have plastic in hand for PodCamp.
So the disc in my hand right now is part of a CD-R run from Kunaki.com. The whole album is on the CD, there’s artwork, a jewel case, and even an ugly bar code on the back. But it’s NOT what I want the final product to look and feel like. This is just what I could get done in a hurry.
So to make a long story, um, longer, this album still isn’t retail-ready. The official release will happen when DiscMakers gets the industry-grade CD’s sent to me in a few weeks. That’s the version I’m signing and sending out to everyone who pre-ordered, and that’s the version you’ll get when you buy from matthewebel.com.
Hopefully folks will consider the PCB version a “collector’s item” since it’s only going to be sold at PodCamp Boston. Just wait ’till you see the final release!

That is a scary picture of you. XD
Don’t rush it, man. Your music is good stuff. But you already knew that.

Whill there be an iTunes(plus) release?

Kazy-
Yes, I always release full albums through CD Baby, and they put the music on any legit download service they can find. The digital version won’t be available for quite a while, though, since iTunes tends to take its sweet time with independent music.

Hey, Matt! I heard from Adria that you will be moving to Boston! I think that is awesome, and I wish you the best. I am happy that your career is taking a turn more in the direction you wish for. I am sending you lots of prayers, love, and positive energy.

Howz it going Matthew? love your music , I was drawn to your music while listenin’ to CC Chapman’s podcast, “This too shall pass” especially. I had wanted to use it as a theme song opener and ender for a podcast show I am workin’ on, but would like to get the non live version if you had it.
Just to let you know, but I can’t find any bumps, station ids, intros or promos for your music to use on my show , I used the links on your blog on the podsafe music network and the podsafe site isn’t showin’ it. any other way I can get them?
Anyway I loved your “beer and coffee” can’t wait to get your new one. I love “Lost My Way” another that would sound great as a theme song for the show.
Wish You the Best,
From “The Greenlight Cafe”

So, it’s November 1st. Can I buy your CD yet?
I know it isn’t available in CD or iTunes form yet, but I’d rather buy the MP3’s from Amazon or even from you directly. Any chance of that happening soon? Or even today? Thanks!

Well, DiscMakers is taking a little longer than I’d anticipated to get the CD’s made, we’ve had some problems with the graphics files AND the master I sent them had a scratch on it. So I’ll be getting them up on CD Baby ASAP!
