At 20mph, that shot up to 18 miles and <em>61 miles</em>. Of course, the model I want is a bit more efficient and I would be pedaling a lot since there's plenty of level and downhill areas, but they don't have posted stats for the Cruiser, just the Racer. As for your daughter, you can get a conversion kit for a foldable bike, too, so she can carry the thing onto a bus or subway, stow it in the trunk of a car or taxi, etc., if she wants to do a combination of biking/riding public transit.
