Filling The Pages

I’ve wandered the paths of the earth
and I have caught nothing but pain.
With riches and wealth I have lavished myself
and still all I do is complain.
I believe
and I am not afraid.
I’m filling the pages with
stories and choices I’ve made.
I’ve climbed enough mountains to see
the valleys don’t sink very deep.
With Jesus my guide I can easily ride
to the top ’cause it isn’t that steep.
So what do the stories all mean?
I try to find some common thread.
I tell you it’s true, Jesus cares about you
and he straightens the road up ahead.
