Stunning Design, Simple Inspiration
Aside from music and writing, Matthew Ebel is an accomplished web designer with a focus on the aesthetic qualities of a site. More than just info on the web, Matthew Ebel’s web creations are online art. Though he specializes in serving independent artists, Matthew Ebel can work with anyone looking to put a professional, stunning presence on the web.
Behind the good looks, however, Matthew Ebel’s websites are well-structured and easy to update. This means an indie rocker on a budget or a starving artist can maintain their own website (new tour dates, change in bio, etc.) without hiring a web maintainer. Check out some of the sites Matthew’s already built and see what he can do for you!
Obviously, Matthew designs his own websites. Here are a couple versions this website has seen over the years:
Goodbye Planet Earth
The site you’re looking at right now? Matthew Ebel designed it as a custom Wordpress template. Forget a sample image, just look around! (I suggest you start here.)
Beer & Coffee

This is the previous version of the site you’re looking at right now. If that’s not enough of a demo, check out the images above for a closer look. The entire site was designed using the same graphics files used for the album artwork, making the website match the album perfectly.
The Olive Site

Before Beer & Coffee, Matthew used this design to promote his music online. The graphics don’t correspond to any album, but they certainly fit the mood and style he cultivated after moving to Nashville.

As his first podcast site, High Orbit gave Matthew the opportunity to learn about customizing Wordpress blog sites.

So far Matthew has made two sites for Nashville folk-rock goddess Laura Clapp.
Simply

When Laura released her new acoustic album, Simply, she asked Matthew to design not just the website but the album artwork as well. Just like Matthew’s Beer & Coffee site, the website matches the album and promotional materials exactly.
Where Are You Going?

Laura’s first new website after moving to Nashville was designed by Matthew Ebel. This was actually Matthew’s second website ever built (after his own, naturally), but still captured Laura’s bold style.

When Matthew played with the Peter Moon Band, they needed a site that could bring the fans together and help promote the new album, Postcards From Earth.

Cris Lane, the woman responsible for all of Matthew’s Beer & Coffee photo work, needed someplace to showcase her top-notch work. It’s still under construction, but you can catch a small sample here.

Dirt Cheap, Rock Solid
Since Matthew Ebel specializes in serving independent artists (and is an indie musician himself), he understands the need for a cheap, effective web presence. Most web designers charge hourly rates that would make a mechanic cry, but Ebel charges by the project so you know up front what you’re getting into.
A rock-solid website is more than just a place to send fans, often it’s what makes a venue or label take an artist seriously. For many bands and creative professionals, the website is their one and only storefront. Rather than just toss some CD’s on the shelf with a price tag, why not make a small investment to give your online presence the look you want?
While no two websites are the same, most creative professionals want similar information available online. Here are some of the basic packages Matthew Ebel offers:
| $300
| The One-Page Special
| All the information you need to get your face on the web. Many online retailers and indie music sites offer one-page sites, but you’re forced to live with their templates and their banner ads. Matthew can design your page the way you need it, selling only your stuff.

| $650
| The Indie Artist Package
| For those with more to share, the Indie Artist package is perfect for the performer or band trying to make a statement. A fully-automated website lets you maintain a blog, photo gallery, tour calendar, RSS subscriptions, and more. The package also comes with a splash page to instantly greet visitors with the first impression you want.
|
| $650
| The Podcast Package
| This one’s for the podcasters out there. Rather than just a generic blog interface, you’ll have a graphic style and layout specific to your podcast. Your feeds will even be setup via FeedBurner for your convenience, allowing multiple feeds per site! If you’ve got ads, there are many ad placement/management options available without the obnoxious “right-column blindness” effect.

| Also Available:
| Extra pages, bulletin boards, automated News features, blogs, photo galleries, animation, and more! |
